With winter right around the corner, as much as we all want to head outside and spend time with our families, the seasons just aren’t agreeing with us. With temperatures starting to dip, you have to find new ways to have fun experiences that don’t rely on being outdoors. While movie and game nights are always a classic, try to mix it up this year with some new activities! Just because you can’t go outside, doesn’t mean you can’t leave your house. Here is our list of top indoor activities that both you and your kids will enjoy:
Pinspiration, a DIY craft studio located in Forsyth County, Georgia, is the ultimate family daytime outing. Nothing is required on your part except for some imagination, as your kids will be provided with all the crafting supplies and instructions. There are crafts for all ages and genders, and you don’t even need to worry about the mess and clean-up! From holiday-specific crafts to string art to blank canvases, your family can spend some quality time in the Main Craft Room pushing your creativity to the limits.
In addition to the individual craft options, Pinspiration also has a Splatter Room. Get all dressed up in full-body protective paint suits, goggles, and hair nets, and prepare to get messy! Splatter paint onto canvas to create Jackson-Pollock-inspired masterpieces. Perfect to hang up in your kid’s room as a reminder of the time you spent together.
2. Catch Air
Can’t decide on a specific activity? Catch Air is your catch-all venue for a multitude of different fun experiences. Toddlers and younger children can spend time in the soft play toddler area or in the Tiny Town, featuring padded rides, games, and swings. Older children can shoot soft colorful balls in the ball cannon arena or explore some of the largest play structures in Forsyth County. Children of all ages can enjoy showing off their dance skills on an interactive dance floor or spending hours bouncing around on inflatable blow-ups.
For a more relaxed day out, the Cumming Playhouse is the perfect option. This historical performing arts venue, named to the National Register in 2000, showcases a variety of plays, musicals, and concerts that are sure to entertain the whole family. The theater’s shows are constantly changing, and seasonal productions are currently underway.
Need an outlet for your kids’ energy? There is no better place to go to than the world’s first indoor trampoline park. Have them bounce around on trampolines, climb warped walls, and dive into large foam pits. More active games can play games such as trampoline dodgeball and basketball on their slam dunk courts. All ages are welcome, but children under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver form.
5. Stars and Strikes
Don’t strike out with the same, old activities, and head over to Stars and Strikes in Cumming. This vibrant, neon bowling alley is great for all ages. With great music and video walls, the whole family can participate together. Bumpers and ramps are also available for younger children or novice bowlers. In addition to bowling, there is also an arcade, laser tag arena, and bumper cars.
So, while the weather might be cold outside, there is no excuse to not have fun inside. There are so many fun things to do for both parents and kids in Forsyth County, so go out, explore, and make some incredible memories that your family is sure to cherish!
